Here’s a simple guide to help you land a job, or an internship on Kabel.

1. Create a profile

Your profile is the key to finding a job or internship, like a digital resume. When you fill in all the details on your profile, Kabel can give you job recommendations that are relevant to your background and are right for you.

You also increase your chances of getting the hirer’s attention. In fact, job seekers who fill up their profile have a 4x higher chance of getting a job match compared to those who don’t.

2. Discover & pick job cards

Now, it’s time to pick job cards.

Instead of long job descriptions, hirers on Kabel state a vision and 3 to-do list items, allowing you to understand the job expectations and major challenges of the job. You should read through the job card and evaluate the vision and the job scope before you swipe right.

You should also take a look at the hirer’s profile and get to know more about who you are working with. We believe that working with like-minded people matters.

3. Get matched & chat

Once the interest is mutual, it’s a match!

Make the first move and start chatting with the hirer, as you’ll only have 7 days to chat and land an interview. Here are a few tips for you.

• Be proactive and do a warm introduction using your elevator pitch

• Always relate your experience to the job requirements

• Prepare 3 unique points about the company/job that appeals to you

• Prepare 3 points of how you can contribute to the company

• Ask job-related questions to help you understand more about the position (you can also choose from the list of smart questions)

You can also move on to the next stage with the following actions:

• Send over your CV when the hirer requests it (you can either upload your own CV or generate a CV on the Kabel app)

• Set an appointment to meet IRL using the calendar feature

• Do a video interview on the Kabel app
