What is Kabel?
Kabel is a job platform that connects candidates directly to line managers, allowing both parties to have insights on job expectations and working styles even before meeting for a physical interview. We believe that matching like-minded professionals leads to greater job satisfaction and performance.
How is Kabel different from other job platforms?
We want to encourage more communication during the hiring stage by connecting line managers and candidates directly, instead of traditional application through job description and resumes. Our proprietry algorithm also suggest relevant candidates/jobs unique to your requirement, which eliminates the need to go through irrelevant applications/jobs.
What are the supported platforms and devices?
Kabel is available on iOS and Android devices.
Who does Kabel serve?
Kabel is designed for Corporate Professionals including fresh graduates.
Is Kabel free?
Kabel is available for free in the App Store and Google Play Store. Job seekers can use this app for free. Line managers can hire for free until 31st July 2021, and will be charged according to our subscription fee after that.
What are Kabel's Guidelines?
Our Kabel Terms of Service are designed to mantain a fair and professional environment for users. We take the privacy and personal information of our users seriously, and we reserve the right to revoke access to our platform for violations of our Terms of Service.
How Does Kabel Work?
How does the app provide relevant job opportunities?
Our algorithm will automatically sort and suggest relevant opportunities based on the job sectors and skills that you select in your employment history. Make sure you input all your employment history and select the job sectors and skills correctly.
Can I be a candidate and a line manager at the same time?
Yes, you can. Line managers will also be offered daily job opportunities like a candidate would.
What is Kabels and how do I purchase it?
Kabels is used to get more job swipes. You cannot purchase Kabels outright. Kabels can be earned by clicking on the "Earn More" button and completing app activities.
What is "Buy Cards"?
Buy Cards allow you to purchase more Job Swipes using Kabels.
What is Wallet & Subscriptions?
The Kabel Wallet is made up of 2 currencies:
Kabels, which are used for buying additional job swipes, are only earned via in-app activities.
Job Credits, which are used for posting jobs, are only available to line managers and are purchasable. However, for this beta phase, all hirers will be given free Job Credits to post jobs.
What are my login options?
You can log in with a valid Facebook, Google or Apple account in the Kabel app.
I can't log in with my Android/iOS device.

Swiping & Matching
Will my matches expire?
Every successful match has a 14-day lifespan.
How long do expired matches stay in my queue?
Expired matches are kept for up to 6 months after expiry. During this time, you can still access your chat history.
What is the "Interested" mark on the card?
This indicates that this person has shown interest in your job/profile.
Is there a limited number of swipes?
Every user receives 5 free swipes a day for new job opportunities. Likewise, for line managers, each active job post will generate 5 candidates recommendations a day.
Why did I run out of job cards to swipe?
You are given 5 free job swipes every day. Should you run out of job swipes, you can purchase additional job swipes using Kabels, our in-app currency. To earn more Kabels, click on the "Earn More" button on "Find Jobs" page. If you still have swipes left, but have run out of cards, it could mean that your filters are too narrow. Try to expand your filters such as salary range, or locations.
Why did I run out of candidate cards to swipe?
You are given 5 free candidate card swipes every day. Should you run out of swipes, you can purchase more swipes using Job Credits to purchase Job Credits, you can click on the "Reload" button on "I'm Hiring" page. If you still have swipes left, but have run out of cards, it could mean that your filters are too narrow. Try to expand your filters such as salary range, or locations.
Why am I not receiving any matches?
If you have shown interests in others but are not receiving any successful matches, it means that the other parties have not swiped right on you yet. You can improve your chances of getting a match by completing your profile.
How do I increase my chances of getting a match?
Try completing your profile especially your Employment History or Professional Badges. You can also expand your filters such as salary range, or locations.
Can I search for a specific person on Kabel?
Kabel is designed using a propriety algorithm that matches job seekers and line managers. You can only search for people that you have previously matched with.
How do I accept or reject a job/candidate card?
There are 2 ways of doing so;
I'm not seeing any job cards at all.
Kabel is currently in the Beta phase serving FMCG and eCommerce industry. Kindly be patient with us and don't fret if you don't see any job cards now.
How do I set an appointment?
To make an appointment, tap on the Options icon (3 dots) on the top right corner of the chat screen, then select "Set Appointment".
How do I end a chat a session?
To end the chat, tap on the Options icon (3 dots) on the top right corner of the chat screen, then select "End Chat".
Will the chat and video be recorded?
Yes, it will be stored in your chat for 6 months for your reference.
Can I request for a copy of the chat and video recording?
No, you can't. You can only view chat history, videos and pictures that was previously uploaded for 6 months.
Will my chats expire?
How do I extend chat/match expiry?
On the chat screen, tap on the Options icon (3 dots) on the top right corner, then select "Extension".
How can I reconnect an expired match/chat?
Only line managers may request to reconnect with a past match. On the chat screen, tap the Options icon (3 dots) on the top right corner, and select the "Reconnect" option. If the other party accepts, the match will be reactivated and you may once again chat freely.
Can I as a candidate request to Reconnect?
No. Only the Line Managers can initiate a Reconnect request.
Why is it exclusively for FMCG and eCommerce industry only?
This is to ensure our App is technically stable before we roll out to other roles and industries.
Can I use Kabel if I am not from the FMCG or eCommerce industry?
We are focusing on FMCG and eCommerce professionals at this stage.
What do I need to do as a Beta user?
Help us test out the app and send us your feedback. It is normal to encounter some hiccups at this stage & we would really appreciate your feedback and ideas to improve. It starts with heroes like you!

How do I get more job credits?
There is no option to reload job credits at the moment. We're currently in Beta phase and we give out 500 job credits/month to each hirer. Should you need more job credits, please chat with our Support Team.
How much credit is required to post a job?
Standard Job - 100 credits
What is Bonus credit?
Bonus credits are extra credits that you receive for purchasing in bulk.
Can I post a contract job?
Yes, you can. When you create a new job post, you can select the "Contract Job".
When creating a job post, what is "Pitch Vision & Mission"?
This is your pitch to candidates to garner interest in your vision and mission for the role and attract candidates that relates to your values.
How does the app provide relevant candidates?
Based on the job sectors and skills that you select for the job post, our algorithm will automatically sort and suggest candidates with relevant skills and background.
When creating a job post, what is "To-Do List"?
The to-do list consists of the key objectives of the job. Candidates rely on this to understand what needs to be done to ace the role.
I'm not seeing candidate cards.
There are no candidates that matches your requirements. Try to adjust your requirements i.e. salary range and location.
I'm seeing candidate cards I've already swiped on.
Yes, it is possible for the same candidate to appear in different job posts if they qualify for multiple roles. However, you will not see the candidate card if you are already actively matched.
Privacy & Safety
Is my data protected?
We will never share your personal information like email or phone number without your consent. Such details will only be shared when 2 parties agree to meet.
How do I report and block someone?
On your chat screen, tap on the Options icon (3 dots) on the top right corner, then select "Block and Report".
How can I report a fake profile?
On your chat screen, tap on the Options icon (3 dots) on the top right corner, then select "Block and Report".
What happens when I report?
Our human moderator will look into every report we receive. In most cases, we will be handling the case without your involvement. If we ever need more information, we'll reach you via email.
Can I request for mobile numbers on the platform?
Mobile numbers will only be exchanged on the platform when both parties have agreed to an appointment. Before that, we encourage all users to keep all communication on the platform, so that there is a record should anything happen.
Where do I report an issue in the App?
If you are encountering a technical issue, chat with Kabel Support Team in the app or go to Profile > Settings > Report an Issue.

My account was banned.
The app is crashing.
Try the following methods:
Make sure you have a stable internet connection, try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data to gauge if there's a problem with connectivity.
Delete and reinstall the app.

Profile & Account Settings
What do I do when my work location is not in the list of locations?
If it is not in the drop down list, choose the closest location available.
If I am a line manager and I am not hiring, can I keep the hiring mode on?
Yes, you can. As a line manager you are expected to keep hiring mode on and are not required to turn it off.
How do I delete my account?
You do not need to delete your account as you are using an existing Google, Facebook, or Apple account. If you no longer wish to use our service, you can turn off the "Discoverable" mode and Log Out. Your account will be dormant and you will not be contacted any further.
How can I view my profile as it appears to others?
On your Profile Page, click on "Preview" to view your profile.
What is the "Discoverable" option on Settings page?
The "Discoverable" setting lets you opt-in to career opportunities, even when you aren't actively looking. By turning on the "Discoverable" option, you will be notified when a line manager shows interest with a relevant job offer.
What are Professional Badges and do I need to fill them up?
Professional Badges allow you to highlight your core workplace strengths or aspirations. Whether you are already established in this area, or simply indicating that you are interested to learn, professional badges sets you apart from other users.
What are Personal Interests and do I need to fill them up?
Personal Interests are an avenue to showcase non-work related skills or interests. Who we are is more than just our workplace personas, and personal interests allow you to express your talents and goals outside of work.
Will my profile be discoverable when I log out?
Yes, if "Discoverable" mode is on. You will still get notification on any job opportunities or matches.
Can others see my current salary?
No. Only your expected salary will be shown to line managers.
Will my profile be discoverable by my current employer?
No, your current employer will not see you in their job searches.
